gimoticon collects only the minimum personal data needed to run the service safely and reliably.
What we collect
- Account data: email address (required) and profile name when social login is used.
- Service usage data: gifticon registration, usage, movement logs, app version, OS information, and error logs.
- Notification data: optional device token for push delivery.
- Photo permission data: image analysis only when photo access is explicitly granted by the user.
How we use data
- Account sign-in and management.
- Gifticon scan, list management, and group synchronization.
- Expiration alerts and group activity notifications.
- Service quality monitoring and error analysis.
How photos are processed
- Images are first analyzed on the device to read the necessary text.
- Only images identified as gifticons and required metadata are stored for service operation.
- General photos that are not identified as gifticons are not stored as service data.
Data retention and deletion
- Account and related data deletion starts immediately after account withdrawal or verified deletion requests.
- Items required by law (for dispute handling or compliance) may be retained for a limited period and then destroyed.
- Users can request deletion at any time through in-app deletion features or support contact.
Third-party sharing and processors
- gimoticon does not sell personal data or share it for advertising purposes.
- Processing may be delegated to service operators such as Supabase (auth/database/storage) and Google/Firebase (optional social login, push delivery).
- Data may be disclosed only when legally required.
User rights
- Users may request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of their personal data.
- Photo and notification permissions can be changed anytime in device settings.
- Account withdrawal can be completed directly inside the app.
Policy updates
- When this privacy policy changes, users are notified through in-app notice or email.
